The model Touba, Ivory Coast region occupied by the Dioula since the fall of the Empire of Mali, is an artistic creation of the Monts Nimba collection referring to the Dioula tribal art. The material used is not wood but copper. The shape of the mask was obtained thanks to the technique of lost wax of a demanding professional skills. Copper is worked in Touba region where many blacksmiths specialize in the manufacture of copper masks. As soon as the
prototype is created, we use more complex techniques
to produce the mask clips in large quantities.
